Glamour Pets Waiver

Below is a breakdown of our Glamour Pets policies. Please read and agree to each policy to proceed. It is important that you read each policy in full before signing, so no unexpected issues arise.

Arrival Window Policy

  • Pet grooming is unpredictable. It is difficult for us to adhere to exact timing due to the nature of our business. If we are running late, we may be struggling with matted or wiggly pets, weather, traffic, mechanical issues, construction, or another unexpected variable.

    For this reason, we provide an “arrival window” instead of an exact appointment time. For example if the arrival window for your appointment is between 9am and 11am, arriving at 10:59 is still arriving “on time.” There are days when we get delayed past the expected arrival time.

    If you require a definite arrival time please request the first appointment of the day. Early appointment times go fast, and we cannot guarantee they will be available.

    Please be flexible with your timing. Do not schedule a time-sensitive activity (i.e. a medical appointment) directly after your grooming appointment just in case things take longer than expected.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

  • We love hanging out with your pet. It's fun! When someone does not show up for their appointment, it's not fun. It's a problem. To avoid cancellation fees, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for all appointment changes. Appointment changes include cancellations, reschedules, or any other appointment modification. Cancellation fees will cost 50% of the missed appointment. For example if the price of the grooming is $90, the cancellation fee is $45. If missed appointments become a repeated issue, we may refuse to book future appointments.

    Sorry, we don't do appointment reminders. Please use your own tools to keep track of your appointments.

    We will confirm all appointment changes. If you do not receive an email confirmation of your request, please assume your appointment is as originally scheduled.

    If you need to change an appointment, we will accommodate you as best we can. Keep in mind that the wait for a new appointment date may be more than 6 weeks during peak periods. To limit our travel distances, appointments may only be available during certain days of the week.

Email Policy

  • Our preferred method of contact is through our email address: hello@glamourpets.ca.

    We do not monitor our telephone line, and you will not receive a response to any messages left there.

    If you are a customer that we have already emailed, please use our email, not the contact form to get in touch. Your contact form submission is likely to get misdirected since we assume you are contacting us for the first time.

    From time to time you will receive group email communication from us. These email may document changes to your service going forward. They may also communicate product offerings. By agreeing to the email policy, you give us permission to send these emails to you and you agree to read them.

Communication Policy

  • Due to the nature of our business, we are sometimes not able to check and/or respond to emails right away. We will try our best to respond within 3-5 business days or less. If the email is regarding an upcoming appointment, please get in touch prior to 48 hours before the appointment, or there is no guarantee that we will see it in time.

Social Media Policy

  • Glamour Pets maintains a presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, and other websites. From time to time we post pictures of pets we have groomed. By signing this waiver form you grant us permission to use photos of your pet at our discretion. Photos will be posted without contact details and with GPS data removed. If you do not wish your pet's photo to be posted online, please advise us by email to “hello@glamourpets.ca”. You will be provided confirmation if your request is received.

Matted Pets Policy

  • The only humane way to remove a matted coat is by shaving. De-matting a dog's coat manually will often cause extreme pain. Sometimes shaving a matted coat can reveal problems underneath. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin, causing hot spots, and bacterial or fungal infections. Parasites may be lurking under the coat, causing additional skin problems. Shaving the coat can also cause some redness and irritation. Although we will groom your pet with the best care possible, we cannot be held responsible for problems revealed and/or caused by the grooming process.

Veterinary Care Policy

  • Occasionally grooming can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. We therefore require your advanced permission to transport your pet to a veterinary clinic of our choosing (depending on location and other factors) and obtain veterinary care should it become necessary. Information about you and your pet may be provided to our veterinary provider to facilitate your pet's care.

Difficult Pets Policy

  • If you know that your pet is difficult, please tell us prior to the groom. Its a safety issue. We don't want to get hurt, and we don't want your pet to get hurt either. Sometimes a difficult pet will require more than one appointment to complete the tasks required. Please anticipate that there may be an added cost for the added time.

    We may also refuse service at our discretion at any time if your pet is deemed to pose a safety concern to our team or the pet itself.

Grooming Van Entry Policy

  • Unfortunately, our insurance policy prohibits us from allowing customers in the van while we are working. Additionally, most pets behave better during the grooming process if their owner is out of sight. It may be possible to see the van before the appointment starts. After that, please leave us to do the job you have hired to us to do.
